We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced eCommerce Technical Lead that can convert vision and concepts into an innovative marketplace solution. You will be responsible for the development and deployment of an e-commerce marketplace and the overall IT solutions. You will build the IT team as the company grows and work closely with the founders and the foundation team to launch and grow a new business.
Responsibilities:
Managing the company's technological plans;
Organize and monitor all technical activities for various projects and ensure compliance to all objectives and prepare appropriate budgets;
Overseeing the data security and management;
Maintaining a company's network;
Attend conferences, training in relation to product and systems development;
Envisioning how different forms of technology will be used throughout the company;
Coordinate with various staff to ensure customer satisfaction;
Creating networking safeguards that prevent security breaches and keep confidential information;
Assessing whether new technologies are appropriate for the company to use;
Ensure current technologies are efficient and recommend changes whenever necessary;
Administer and ensure optimal utilization of all company resources to increase growth and develop technical systems to maintain effective growth;
Monitor all IT equipment and tools and make sure that all software systems are running smoothly;
Continuously look for ways to ensure that marketplace is up to date and in line with consumer desires;
Measure and report on the performance of technical team, gain insight and assess against goals.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Programming or any related field;
Technical expertise on hardware and software systems, development and maintenance;
Hands-on experience on PHP, GraphQL, ReactJs, Magento2, PWA;
Demonstrate leadership, decision-making, management and business strategy skills;
An ability to constantly educate themselves so that they're up-to-date with the latest technological advances;
Diplomacy skills as they negotiate what they feel is best for the company's IT systems;
An ability to liaise well with others and source information efficiently;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
The ability to mentor others who are further down in their team;
An ability to respond well to constructive feedback; and
Willing to travel.
