We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to join our Global Finance Team. This is a high profile role that will provide senior finance leadership for all global financial processes executed in various countries including Canada, UK, Costa Rica, and Philippines.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Directly manage finance team with staff located in Canada, UK, Philippines, and Costa Rica
Overseeing and direct global transactional accounting; including maintaining the fiscal integrity of the general ledger, accounts payable sub ledger, accounts receivable sub ledger, fixed asset sub ledger and bank accounts
Oversee and direct activities regarding treasury, global tax compliance (both income tax and VAT), global statutory reporting, global external audit
Coach, develop, and train global financial team (Analysts/Accountants) via in-person or remote means
Co-ordinate budgets and rolling forecast execution for operational business units and overhead departments, including planning for volume, pricing, workforce changes, new programs and initiatives,
Have ownership for internal controls, integrity of financial reporting and all aspects of financial operations
Partner with Business Unit heads, and dedicated BU Financial Analysts to review historic business unit financial performance, analyze trends, provide recommendations, and deliver management discussion/analysis to senior management team
Be a champion of process improvement across the business
Manage full cycle month end process from initiation to formal close meeting
Manage the completion of balance sheet, profit-and-loss statement, cash-flow statement in conjunction with the financial analyst group monthly according to closing schedule for all regions.
Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual global consolidated financial statements, in a multi-currency environment
Ensure monthly execution of balance sheet reconciliations and attestations by members of the global Finance team
Maintain alternate books of account including Canadian ASPE, US GAAP, UK GAAP, and Philippines GAAP
Mandatory Experience:
Must have a university degree preferably with an accounting focus.
5-10 years of experience in similar capacity and role with proven leadership and management experience in Finance and Controlling in a complex environment.
Must possess excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills, and be able to work with regional and senior management, investors, internal and external stakeholders
Must be a CPA/CA qualified Accountant with considerable demonstrated experience in a management accounting focused position, including the development and review of budgets, forecasts and performance metrics
Strong ERP fundamentals with high system aptitude
Strong PC Skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Strong IFRS/US GAAP/ASPE knowledge
Strong knowledge of Canadian & US taxation compliance
Strong PEZA knowledge & taxation
Strong project management skills with ability to multi-task.
Proactive team player that will be a model to his/her staff members.
