REQ5610 Director, Finance Shared Services (Open)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Finance Shared Services is in-charge of developing and maintaining of appropriate, accurate and timely financial and management reports. He manages the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Virtual Roster & Scheduling Finance areas for multiple properties. Works closely with Properties managing month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manages the Shared Services Finance department processing center.
2. Partners with Property Finance teams for their accounting needs.
3. Develops and produces accurate and timely financial reports to be used for internal management reporting and decision making (eg. Senior Executive Management and Business Unit management).
4. Manages an effective and efficient month-end reporting process, utilizing increased automation/technology.
5. Manages day to day cashflow activities for properties.
6. Develops and maintains appropriate reporting systems and processes, ensuring the needs of internal and external customers are satisfied.
7. Liaises with external and internal auditors in order to meet reporting deadlines, cost objectives and resolution of accounting and audit issues.
8. Ensures the highest levels of service to Business Units and Departmental management in the provision of financial reporting that satisfies their business needs.
9. Develops, maintains, and reviews policies and procedures pertaining to Finance.
10. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies and Procedures.
11. Identifies opportunities for cost savings and process improvements that have a positive impact on company financial performance.
12. Maintains external relationships with banking partners, auditors, and vendors.
13. Ensures the development of our people through recruitment, training and development.
14. Ad hoc projects and duties as assigned by senior management.
15. Recommends and / or executes management policies to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, discharge, re-assign, or discipline employees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
I. Experience
1. Extensive accounting experience in a management role, with both professional and commercial experience preferable.
2. Solid understanding of Gaming, Hotel, F&B, Entertainment, Retail and Mall Management Operations.
3. Public accounting experience required including working in a public reporting environment to the PSE/SEC.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP / PFRS standards.
5. Sound knowledge of ERP and computer applications.
II. Education
Appropriate tertiary qualification, majoring in Accounting.
III. Skills / Competencies
1. Ability to understand the application of US GAAP/PFRS standards to a large and complex hotel casino operation.
2. Ability to prepare and analyze strategies in relation to financial statements, cost accounting, treasury management, tax strategy planning and compliance.
3. Must have excellent communication skills and can influence decisions, actions and other stakeholders.
4. Display a high commitment to improving customer service.
5. Ability to build teams, manage change and drive performance.
6. Clearly understands the strategic Vision of the company and how it impacts on the Business Unit / function.
7. Anticipate and assess issues, risks or opportunities facing the Company and applies effective, creative solutions to eliminate or minimize risks to the organization and utilizing existing resources.
