JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage the development of the internal engineering productivity tools and environments
Providing DevOps architecture implementation and operational support
Architecture and planning for cloud deployments (Private and Public cloud)
Be an innovative and hands-on DevOps engineer capable of looking at both the technology and strategy around the platform
Future-proofing the technical environments and ensuring extreme high levels of automation, availability, scalability and resilience
Manage the development of the cross-cloud provider engineering tools and environments.
Manage processes, automation, best practices, documentation
Development and operation of continuous integration and deployment pipelines
Monitoring automation to effectively detect/predict/prevent issues in the environment and code base
Ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast paced, global environment
Knowledge in lots of different open source technologies and configurations
JOB QUALIFICATION
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Computing/Information Technology or related field
Minimum of 5 years software experience where you spent at least 3 years working in DevOps.
Experience in DevOps/Infrastructure, System Administration etc. with expertise in deploying and maintaining applications in Cloud. Software Development experience will be a bonus.
Experience in working with any modern infrastructure operations (AWS, GCP, Azure etc.) and automation tools (Ansible, CircleCI, Jenkins etc.)
Experience in implementing web services such as SOAP and RESTful web services
Working knowledge of deploying SQL & No-SQL databases in production e.g PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Hive
Experience in batch processing implementations
Have implemented some form of custom frameworks such as security and validations
Good understanding of modern software development methodologies, scripting and tools
Experience in one or more full SDLC for enterprise projects
Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team
Has Agile methodology and process understanding and experience
Has a continuous learning mindset and learning of new paradigms, techniques & practices in build-test-release cycles and software automation
 
Good To Have
Experience in DevOps toolchain
Certification in AWS, GCP
Experience in container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience in messaging platforms such as Kafka and IBM MQ
