Their core platform is a payment processing software used by major banks, payment service providers and other financial institutions all over the world. Established in 1988, our client has continually focused on the development and implementation of highly scalable, reliable and flexible card payment processing solutions for an industry leading, end-to-end solution for Card Issuing, Card Acquiring and ATM Services supporting all aspects of authorization and message switching, transaction routing, merchant acquiring, card issuing, domestic and international clearing with full multi-currency facilities covering 121 currencies for cross-border clearing & settlement of payments.
With offices in Germany, Malta, Jordan, USA and the Philippines, the company's system is used by well over a hundred banks, payment processors and other financial institutions and is capable of processing more than 7 million transactions an hour. They are currently seeking for an autonomous and highly technical Senior Backend Web Developer to work side-by-side with their foreign counterparts team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Installation & configuration of 3rd party middleware software as well as the company's own application
Deployment of code releases on various environments, including production
Monitoring of data centres & environments to ensure minimal downtime
Designing continuous deployment & automation solutions
Researching & implementing ways of improving existing processes & workflows
Creating and maintaining documentation of procedures & systems
Assisting in performance optimization & IT security exercises
Must-have Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar, recognized qualification
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash
Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (preferably AWS and/or Azure)
Experience working with Linux servers in a production environment
Experience using Docker and/or Kubernetes
Experience with Terraform
Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving situations
Fluency in written and spoken English
Advantageous skills or nice-to-haves:
Experience with Elastic Stack
