Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Process-oriented with great documentation skills
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies
Knowledge of operating systems, and infrastructure configuration
Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD pipelines using tools such as (but not limited to) Git, Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, Travis, CodeCommit/CodeDeploy, Laravel Forge/Envoyer etc.
Significant experience with Linux operating system administration
Ideal Candidate will also have one or more of the following:
Certification from a recognized cloud infrastructure service provider such as AWS, Google, Microsoft
Certification from a recognized systems administration course such as LFCSA, RHCSA, MSAC/MCTS
Security/network administration certificate
Whitehat/penetration testing experience ​
Engineer Job Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain mission-critical infrastructure and systems.
Set up monitoring systems and processes for incident detection.
Provides direct and responsive support for urgent incidents.
Perform incident investigation and diagnosis and recommend mitigation steps and strategies.
Participates in architecture and software development activities.
Translates non-functional requirements into infrastructure solutions.
Perform infrastructure testing processes such as stress/load testing.
Leading and setting up continuous deployment / continuous integration pipelines in a professional software engineering environment across multiple teams.
Develop pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
Collaborates with others on the project to brainstorm about the best way to tackle a complex technological infrastructure, security, or development problem.
