Trustwave, a leader in cloud-based compliance and information security solutions, announces an opening for a Senior Systems Administrator to join Trustwave's Product Engineering Team in Manila.
The Database Security Products Engineering team is looking for talented, highly motivated candidates with 3+ years of Linux systems administration experience, scripting and programming knowledge, and experience managing application infrastructures on a large scale. The team is primarily responsible for building and testing Trustwave's database security products, and maintains a dedicated, purpose-built R & D lab in support of this work.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and implement automated systems to increase infrastructure reliability and security.
Manage and monitor datacenter technologies including intelligent power units, network switches, routers, storage servers, virtualization servers.
Monitor and maintain database test infrastructure, including various database servers running on both real and virtual systems.
Work closely with Engineering teams to provide a reliable and comprehensive test environment for the DBSS product suite.
Experience and Qualifications:
Strong Linux system administration skills required, including best practices regarding installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring.
Strong experience with managing VMware vCenter and ESXi.
Proficiency writing in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and working with basic addressing, routing, firewalls and standard protocols.
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, and Big Data systems such as Hadoop and MongoDB.
Experience with Windows domain administration.
Experience maintaining hardware (SAN, network, servers) and software (hypervisors, cluster managers) used to provide a virtualization environment.

Self-starter who can develop solutions to sizeable challenges and then implement those solutions.

Education:
We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
