Dev Business Analyst

Position Summary
The business analyst is responsible for analyzing functional and procedural requirements of businesses processes and translates them to solution designs for the development of an ERP product. As a member of an ERP development team, the business analyst is responsible for providing the solution design that will serve as blueprint in the programming of the corresponding solution. The business analyst also analyzes reported issues within the application and provides a solution. The business analyst coordinates and follows up with other development teams as needed until resolution of the issue. The position involves close interaction with product management, product architects, developers, quality assurance and technical writers. The business analyst is expected to possess a hands-on understanding of the ERP business processes, specifically in the equipment rental industry.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop solution designs based on defined requirements for feature development.
Analyze reported bugs and determine a proper course of action to resolve the issue.
Develop a fix design to resolve reported bugs and errors.
Plan and coordinate all activities in the support, maintenance and delivery of the ERP solution.
Provide regular updates and report of progress to stakeholders and management.
Conduct testing of the developed solution or fixes for quality control.
Initiates quality assurance testing of the integrated solution with the development team when updates are deployed
Document detected issues and provide necessary information to the responsible development team.
Keep track of reported issues and follow up with responsible teams.
Prepare all process and documentary requirements for the release of maintenance fixes and feature updates of the ERP solution.
Coordinate with Product Managers and Requirement Owners on the product release and delivery of the solution.
Conduct regular meeting with stakeholders, management and development team representatives to inform of progress and any impediments, align expectations and priorities and facilitate decision making.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
- At least 4 years working experience in the related field
- Experience working within a large, cross- regional development organization
- Good English communication skills
- Assertive and able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Working knowledge in the ff.

Agile Development Methodology (Scrum and Kanban)
Software quality assurance
Test management using HP Quality Center or similar tool
Defect tracking using JIRA or similar tool
Preferred:
ERP business processes
Equipment Rental process
Can do debugging of Java programs
Have designed and implemented a working solution for a complex business process.
Can do SQL and database queries
