DESKTOP ENGINEER, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY / IT DESKTOP ENGINEER
 
Qualifications:
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or Networks
Minimum 1 year of work experience in a technical support position
Analytical and problem solving skills
Good communication (both verbal and written) skills
Superior customer service and support skills
Duties and Responsibilities
 
IT Support - Hardware, Software, Communications 
Provide 1st level user support to staff for all software and hardware related issues and keep the business informed on the status of outstanding issues
Ensure all problems are logged with appropriate levels of supporting documentation. 
Provide technical support for all standalone systems.
Risk Management and compliance 
Ensure the safety and security of all computer and telecommunications equipment 
Adhere and comply with the overall compliance process.
Ensure local processes are compliant to relevant group policies.
Reporting and Documentation 
Communicate timely status reports 
Track all IT assets and inventory, both hardware and software assets
Ensure up to date systems documentation
