Job Description
Perform design and analysis functions for various structures.
Conduct assessments and evaluations of existing structures
Attend meetings with clients, consultants, other professionals and organizations.
Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule and project constraints.
Issue reports, schedules, estimates of probable costs, responses to RFPs.
Review designs prepared by others as part of a TQM process.
Manage, administer and design structural projects and structural components
Deliver innovative, sustainable, efficient, safe, practical and intelligent structural engineering solutions on all projects and other activities, appropriate to the stage and type of project.
Manage a team of engineers to produce complete, coordinated and high-quality project information (calculations, drawings, specifications and other documents) on time and on budget to meet agreed deadlines.
To liaise with architects, clients, consultants and the rest of the design team, to ensure that efficient and integrated structural solutions are produced on all projects, which are sensitive to the architectural intent.
Ensure all designs are thoroughly checked independently, and ensure all errors are corrected prior to issue of the documents/drawings.
Design Steel Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) structures, analyze it & prepare reports.
Attend design team, site and client meetings, as required by the project administrator and or the Operations Manager.
Inspects work and confers with QC Supervisor/weld inspector to maintain specified standards and quality of welds in compliance with applicable codes.
Ensure high standards of presentation are maintained in all documents issued by Design Dept.
To undertake any other duties as reasonably required by Operations Manager/CEO.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Engineering(Civil) or similar fields.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Experience working within the steel fabrication industry is needed for this role.
Proficiency in design software's such as E-TABS, STAAD PRO, SOLID WORKS, MBS, IDEA STATICA, TEKLA, AUTO CAD & MS Office.
