We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join our innovative, fast-growing company. Responsibilities
· Conceptualize and design innovative engineering solutions.
· Generate precise models and drawings utilizing CAD software.
· Conduct comprehensive engineering analyses, including but not limited to Technical Analysis (TA), Failure analysis, motion simulations, and root cause analysis.
· Perform engineering tests such as limit tests, user tests, reliability tests, etc.
· Improve existing products and processes.
· Maintain thorough documentation.
· Ensure products are optimised for user experience and environmental considerations.
· Develop creative design solutions to address challenges.
· Present prototypes and designs to customers and project stakeholders
Requirements
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field
· Min 5yrs experience as a Design Engineer or similar.
· Basic understanding of electrical concepts/products
· Proven experience using CAD software; ideally SolidWorks.
· Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design requirements (particularly injection moulding and metal stamping)
· Solid mechanical mindset (how things fit/work together)
· Product management experience (commercialisation, business cases, understanding of ROI etc.) is a plus.
· Ability to present confidently in front of stakeholders and managers.
· Excellent oral and written communication
· High attention to detail.
