Business Need/Purpose of role
ESCO is seeking innovative Design Engineers to join our GBS casting group. We need engineers who will use their creativity to develop our next-generation solutions to support ESCO strategies. ESCO uses many world-class engineering tools and software to develop products. The ideal candidate will have a knack for learning and leveraging these tools to develop high-quality products quickly in a collaborative team environment.
The role is based in Pasig City, Manila.
Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities:
Set up and manage a complex engineering product catalog with advanced pricing logic for a global manufacturing company
3D Modeling, asset visualization, and product modeling
Understand & uncover customer needs
Generate innovative ideas and product solutions
Maintain the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) catalog along with associated price rules, product rules, search filters and approvals
Troubleshoot and debug logical or computational rules that result in configuration errors
Provide technical assistance and support to users of the system, including representatives, estimators, customer service and manufacturing personnel
Work with manufacturing to ensure products meet quality, schedule, and budget requirements
Ensure fabrication standards and requirements meet
Utilize standard development processes and standard work
Take ideas and concepts from general specifications to working designs
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous process improvement
About you:
Minimum requirements
Bachelor of Degree - Mechanical Engineering
4 years of design experience
Passion for developing new & innovative products
High degree of creativity
Ability to effectively work in a diverse team
Effective communication, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills
CAD modeling proficiency (NX preferred)
Understanding of engineering software and analysis tools; Agile PLM, FEA
Fluent spoken English and written communication
Preferred Experience
3D CAD modeling and product visualization experience
Experience with computer software languages (preferably JavaScript, C#)
Mobile and off-road equipment design
Mining or Construction industry experience
Steel fabrication and casting design
Ability to research and apply many different types of mechanical elements and systems
Welded and machined structures experience
Motion control, sensors, and electrical systems experience
Hydraulic components and systems
