Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide technical knowledge on projects to perform 3D Modeling and drawing production system design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection works and can work some engineering activities.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Design drawing development of HVAC system as per project requirements
Proficient in 3D model design development of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire protection using approved 3D software program, e.g. Revit, SP3D, S3D, etc...
Proficient in AutoCAD and Micro station
With knowledge in Cooling and Heating Load calculations using HVAC calculation software program (Carrier HAP, ELITE, etc...)
Knowledge in HVAC equipment design layout
Preparation of HVAC Duct routing design and sizing
Establish sizing and selection of HVAC air terminals, e.g. grilles, diffuser, registers and louvers
Ability to develop drawing of HVAC Air Flow and Control Diagram
Chilled Water system equipment design layout , pipe sizing and routing
Drawing preparation of Chilled Water P&ID and controls
Familiar with ASHRAE, Codes and Industry standards
Plumbing 3D modeling and drawing production
Sanitary Plumbing pipe sizing and Water Supply line sizing
Fire Water Sprinkler 3D modeling and drawing production
Hydraulic Calculation; Chilled water, Fire water, and Plumbing system
Ability to communicate effectively with management, co-workers, clients, vendors and contractors
Can work under pressure and flexible to work in any MEP engineering and design development
Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in mechanical field of study and at least five to eleven years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, co-workers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state / province, and federal / national statutes and guidelines
Understanding of the activities related to design, engineering, and procurement of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems and equipment through all stages of a project from conceptual phase, front end engineering and design, detailed design, construction, and commissioning
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Knowledgeable with different industry codes, standards and practices (ASHREA, NFPA, IFC, IPC, UPC, etc.)
