A Medical Research Institution in Cebu City, Philippines, which conducts collaborative studies on infectious diseases and serves as an international resource center for diagnostic testing and training, is in urgent need of: DEPUTY HEAD 
 
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine, preferably with Ph.D. or MPH
With background in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics
Preferably with 3-5 years of clinical trial research experience in infectious diseases
Keen interest and inclination in the field of biomedical research; 
With initiative and can work with minimal supervision; organized and meticulous
With excellent interpersonal skills
Must be trainable and willing to be trained
Possess good oral and written English communication skills; proficiency in Cebuano dialect is a plus
Absolute integrity in handling critical research data
Basic Functions of the Position:
Design research studies to prepare research protocols and design, develop, validate, and implement laboratory assays.
Assist and supervise all research and clinical activities in compliance with regulations.
Verify the proper and timely execution of all study-related activities, including regulatory, laboratory, and quality activities.
Complete and submit, in coordination with clinical, regulatory, and quality support personnel, all required study documentation, like continuing and close-out reports and reports to IRBs (i.e., deviation, amendments).
Maintain a productive and collaborative relationship with medical, public health, and research community leaders and with national and international collaborators, developers, funders, and sponsors.
Responsible for epidemiological and statistical analyses of all data generated.
Lead data analyses and preparation and submission of scientific reports, abstracts, and presentations at scientific meetings and to peer-reviewed journals.  Prepare and record abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscripts.
Lead administrative, personnel, budgetary, and research activities.
