We're Hiring: Deputy Controller
Location: NCR, Philippines
️ Work Schedule: Monday to FridayA well-established, industry-leading company is currently seeking a highly qualified Deputy Controller to join its Finance leadership team that will lead key finance and accounting functionsensuring sound fiscal operations, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the companys financial and strategic goals. The role requires a forward-thinking finance leader capable of optimizing processes, strengthening governance, and enhancing the teams technical capabilities.Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Finance Leadership: Lead planning and oversight of accounting, budgeting, reporting, and financial controls. Drive standardization and best practices across financial operations.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate financial reports, manage statutory and regulatory filings, and act as a key liaison with regulators and external auditors.
- Budget Management: Oversee the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensure data-driven decision-making, and recommend enhancements in budgeting frameworks.
- Internal Controls & Risk Oversight: Strengthen internal control systems and collaborate with audit and risk functions to identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Team Development: Provide direction and mentorship to multiple finance units (Budget, General Accounting, Investment & Reinsurance Accounting, Tax, Billing, and Regulatory Reporting).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leadership across departments and maintain productive relationships with external partners such as consultants, auditors, and financial institutions.Minimum Qualifications:
- Philippine Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting within the financial services, claims, aviation, banking or insurance industry- Strong experience in regulatory reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
