JOB DESCRIPTION
A deputy chief financial officer (DCFO) assists the chief financial officer in managing the financial planning of the company and along with other functions that may be assigned to them. Primarily, their task is to deal with financial-related matters such as financial forecasting, reporting, and infrastructure, along with implementing financial strategies. They may also create financial reports and manage finance teams within the company, especially with their day-to-day activities. A deputy chief financial officer is expected, but not limited to do the following:
• Assist the chief financial officer (CFO) in managing the financial aspects of the company while making sure that all the company's goals are achieved:
• Manage the company's financial operations, such as matters dealing with taxation, financial management, payroll, and other financial-related needs
• Provide effective leadership and operational management of the company's finance teams
• To analyze financial data and research on current financial trends and issues both in the local and national context
• To develop financial risk management plans and provide financial perspectives on certain company issues
• Ensure timely preparation of financial reports and coordinate with various departments within the company when needed
• Implement and promote a culture of well-being and empowerment within finance teams, stakeholders, and contractors
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the chief financial officer as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a graduate of Accountancy/Financial Management, and other related degrees
Must also be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Has ten (10) years of experience in finance, accountancy, and/or related positions
Has knowledge on financial aspects, along with government and regulatory policies related to finance
