Position Summary
The Demand and Inventory Planner is responsible for running the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), providing insights to the DIA Leadership Team (DLT) on where the business is heading (plan vs actual), supporting the growth plan and driving profitability through process efficiencies. This position will be accountable for having a firm understanding of, and ability to, articulate the products, DIA business, healthcare policies, and the supply chain processes and procedures. The Demand and Inventory Planner will act as the business partner of the Sales & Marketing team and provide holistic visibility of the commercial plan to the whole finance and supply chain team.
Job Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Demand Planning
Generate a 12-month baseline statistical forecast at product level using statistical models
Collaborate with sales and marketing team to gather and analyze market insight
Firm up the consensus forecast by integrating the various demand building blocks from sales & marketing with the statistical forecast
Create the forecast split based on customer segmentation for depot replenishment planning
Monitor and analyze demand signals to identify trends, deviations, key opportunities and risks
Performs monthly root cause analysis to improve forecast accuracy
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain operations team on Phase-in, Phase-out (PIPO) transition
Lead the monthly joint demand planning with top key accounts in the Philippines
Assist in developing the business plans and identify gaps compared to the bottoms up demand forecast build
Inventory Management
Set the planning strategy (Make-to-Stock or Make-to-Order) per product and optimal safety stock or reorder point
Monitor, analyze and drive actions to minimize inventory write-down level
Facilitate the planning and execution of the inventory destruction activity
Master Data Management
Ensure that all forecasts are uploaded in SAP APO and are flowing to the main DC and 2 depots
New products are created and fully setup in SAP
Other master data parameters are all updated in SAP (lead time, lifecycle status, planning parameters, vendor, etc.)
S&OP
Lead the monthly bottom-up forecasting and demand review with sales team
Collaborate with Supply Planner on the demand and supply review
Provide insight to DIA Leadership Team (DLT) on the monthly and full-year sales outlook
Explains demand shortfalls and spikes to the appropriate stakeholders in the S&OP process, including the options/plans to mitigate risk, and drive corrective actions
Who you are
You bring the following requirements in this position:
Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Business, Industrial Engineering or any Engineering course
More than 5 years of working experience in supply chain
More than 3 years of experience as a demand planner
IBF or APICS certification is a plus
Knowledgeable in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)
Experienced user of any planning tool (SAP APO, SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, Kinaxis, etc)
Highly proficient in Excel
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to turn data into a story
Effective on stakeholder management
