Arrange transportation of products.
Keep records, monitor drivers daily logs for errors or violations and monitoring their working hours and equipment availability.
Keep tabs on the driver's location to be able to flag potential issues, typically with the aid of numerous computer programs.
Serve as a reliable point of contact to balance drivers' health and safety with customers' requirements.
Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective as a company, combining shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize how may trucks and drivers are out; trucks are not overloaded and that all loads fall within standard weight limits for each vehicle.
Assessing job site delivery requirements and assigning appropriate delivery vehicles.
Resolving all vehicle safety issues by routing vehicles to the appropriate service facilities for needed repairs.
Keep track of the movement and progress of each driver and vehicle.
Receive complaints on driver, vehicle, and goods in transit.
At least high school graduate; preferably college level Industrial Engineering
Minimum of 3 years experience in the same position or acquired skills specific to Logistics management
Computer literate (spreadsheets, word processing, etc.)
Knowledge in ERP system is an advantage
Entry Level / Junior, Apprentice Manufacturing and Production Furniture 2 openings Graduated from high school
