Job Description
 
The position is responsible for the continuing improvement of the Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems installed in the Plants and Facilities of the Oil Business Unit.
DCS & SCADA Support for O&M
Provide O&M with responsive Control and Data Acquisition Systems by undertaking a continuing capability review of all installed DCS and SCADA matched against communicated needs to ensure Plants and Facilities are safely and efficiently operated using reliable Control Systems.
Provide O&M with expert DCS-related fault location and resolution support by possession of strong specialist knowledge and skills to reduce outage durations resulting from DCS malfunctions.
Provide O&M with documented DCS and SCADA usage guidance by creating relevant and appropriate procedures and work instructions to ensure sustainably correct and quality-driven utilization of Plant Control Systems.
DCS & SCADA Assets Planning
Develop long-term DCS and SCADA Asset acquisition and retirement plans by associating with Generating Assets investment plans to ensure Plant Control and Data Systems are optimally fitted to the overall Generating Plant Life-cycle Objectives.
Perform Obsolescence Studies on installed Control and Data Acquisition Systems and Components to ensure planned replacements for aging technologies.
Eligibility
3 year-experience as DCS & SCADA Specialist of similar function
At least 1 year of Project experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering or in Electrical Engineering
Leadership experience preferred
