Responsibilities
SQL Server upgrades/migrations (AMIS DBAs provide a shell database and we need to do the actual data migrations and test)
Performance Tuning - review critical databases and improve the performance including indexing, SQL tuning
Database Jobs Schedules - migrate all database jobs to JAMS centralized enterprise scheduling
Monitoring and Alerting - setup database monitoring, adjust thresholds and alerting
Database health checks
Database Re-orgs
New product/application support activities
Database automation - automating database tasks
Database DevOps - identify tools to include database deployments through CI/CD pipelines
Database version control - ensure the database across all the environments are in synch
Disaster Recovery - Test and Validate database recovery mechanisms and support DR testing
Documentation
Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, Postgress
Qualifications
At least 7 years' experience as a DBA
5 years' experience as a SQL developer
2+ years of MongoDB experience

SQL Server TSQL/DDL Development, SQL Functions, Stored Procedures Expertise
SQL Server Always On
Deep Understanding of Triggers
Deep Understanding of Full Text indexes
Database tuning & Optimizing - Index Tuning (Clustered and non-clustered) - Use of database tuning tools SQL Tracing, SolarWinds DPA, Spotlight On SQL, RedGate, etc...
Database design 3rn Normal for traditional databases
Data Transformation Expertise using SSIS, Python
Database design for NOSQL databases - MongoDB
MongoDB shards
Document DB design
JSON, XML
Expertise with ELK Stack - Elastic Search
DEVOPS - CI/CD, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or other related field.
