DBA resource
Design, build, implement and optimise SQL environments
Operate on client projects as well as provide level 2/3 support to clients
Monitor client database operational functions and statistics, report issues and potential impacts to the business and provide solutions to optimise performance.
Perform IT operations such as network configuration/installation and maintenance, SQL Server backups and identify operational problems and then contribute to their resolution.
Requirements
Requirements
Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in the day-to-day database administration activities for operational databases and Database Administration of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 onwards, Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience with:
Azure cloud environments.
Installing and configuring SQL Servers.
Backup & Recovery Tasks.
Stored Procedures, Views, Function, Triggers and Indexing.
Writing T-SQL including troubleshooting and tuning.
High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Technologies.
Microsoft SQL Replication and Microsoft Clustering.
Defining Database Server Security, User Creation, Roles and Permission.
Migrations and Upgrades.
SQL Database Design and Development.
High service level management and application of change management principles.
Microsoft Certification to MCSE level will be highly regarded.
