Role Responsibility
1. Data Collection and Analysis: Gathering and cleaning data from various sources, exploring and analyzing datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
2. Statistical Analysis: Applying statistical techniques to draw inferences and make predictions based on the data.
3. Machine Learning and Modeling: Building and deploying machine learning models to solve specific business problems, such as classification, regression, clustering, and recommendation systems.
4. Data Visualization: Creating informative and visually appealing charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders effectively.
5. Feature Engineering: Selecting and transforming relevant features from the data to improve model performance.
6. Data Mining: Discovering hidden patterns and relationships within the data to drive business decision-making.
7. Model Evaluation and Optimization: Evaluating model performance and iterating to improve accuracy, precision, recall, and other relevant metrics.
8. Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand business requirements and implement data-driven solutions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
2. With atleast 1 year working experience in related field
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and building machine learning models.
4. MS Azure Data Scientist Associate Certification is a plus.
5. A strong understanding of statistical concepts and methods, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, etc.
6. Experience with various machine learning algorithms and techniques, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP).
7. Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data manipulation tools (e.g., pandas) for data extraction and transformation.
8. Proficiency in data visualization libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau to present findings effectively. (Specific tools experience mentioned is a huge plus)
9. Understanding of the industry or domain in which the data scientist will be working is valuable to interpret results in a meaningful context.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and solve complex business challenges.
11. Good to excellent communication skills.
