Conduct inventory of data processing activities and systems of the Company
Assist the Company Data Privacy Officer (DPO) in compiling requirements and completing registration with the National Privacy Commission (NPC)
Conduct internal privacy audits
Report the progress and gaps in data privacy compliance
Support on the closure of CAPAs related to privacy.
Coordinate workshops and Privacy Impact Assessments on data processing systems with the various departments, through identified Business Champions
Assist the DPO in creating local Privacy Manual and developing Privacy Management Program
Plan and implement Privacy & Data Protection (PDP) Measures
Ensure proper data breach and security incident management by the Company, including the preparation and submission to the NPC of reports and other documentation concerning security incidents or data breaches within the prescribed period
Plan and coordinate annual breach drill
Prepare NPC annual reportorial requirements and assist in registration of new data processing systems
Inform and cultivate awareness on privacy and data protection within the organization, including all relevant laws, rules and regulations and issuances of the NPC;
Advice the relevant stakeholders by applying privacy by design principle at the onset of projects.
Advocate for the development, review and/or revision of policies, guidelines, projects and/or programs of the Company relating to privacy and data protection, by adopting a privacy by design approach;
Coordinate with and seek advice from the NPC regarding matters concerning data privacy and security
Respond to enquiries and complaints either from data subjects or the NPC
Review and prepare SOPs
Perform other duties and tasks that will further the interest of data privacy and security and uphold the rights of the data subjects
The experience we're looking for
Prior role or experience as Privacy Officer or Compliance Officer
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong project management skills.
Experience in deploying data privacy and implementing a Data Privacy Program in a company/organization
Knowledge of data privacy principles and laws/regulations, such as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or Data Privacy Act (DPA 2012, IRR, Circulars and Advisories)
Able to work effectively with stakeholders from all levels of the organization, as well as with external / government agencies
