The Role
Be part of the Security Bank's data leadership team to deliver strategic and transformational value for our customers and employees through data.
Security Bank has established the Data Management Office to govern and manage data to ensure data can be trusted. This is a critical role accountable for establishing and maintaining bankwide data policies, standards and processes. This high visibility position identifies, seeks and drives consensus among various business and IT partners. This role would need good understanding of business processes, design, architecture and deployment across multiple data technologies and integrations with necessary controls.
How you'll contribute
Drive consensus across executives to establish common data standards to guide the organization
Partner with fellow functional experts (data quality, reference data, master data leads) to align and implement data policies, KPIs and metrics to measure and refine the success of data governance program
Leads process specialists to review how data interlays with business processes and work flows to enhance DQ
Leads overall change management to ensure BUs (Data Owners) understand data governance and follow policies
Become a data governance "go to person" specialized in data policy and standards that internal customers seek advice from
Understand various business needs and requirements for a consistent and flexible set of data rules and standards
Lead the regular review and training of data policies and standards across the groups and divisions
Build a community of data governance practitioners especially on standards methodology and implementation
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
At least 10 years of work experience
Strong domain knowledge of data governance especially data policies, standards and processes
Demonstrated program and project management expertise including prioritization and problem solving
Solid communication, presentation and social skills, especially the ability to build and maintain consensus among leaders
Demonstrated ability to manage adversity and sophisticated situations
More than 4 years of experience of data governance or master data management including writing data policies, standards and processes
