Duties/Responsibilities
Develop and implement data management plans.
Perform and document procedures for data preparation including data cleaning, standardization and analysis.
Responsible for data quality control procedure.
Develop or improve and embed policies, standards and procedures for improving the quality and managing the protection of sensitive data.
Run basic, descriptive data analyses.
Generate ad-hoc data extractions.
Provides technical advice and guidance with regards to the data standards and associated procedures and other control processes.
Initiate, implement, and monitor data management initiatives and support data governance committees, data management working groups to help the organization comply with the data management policies.
Report any errors identified during data review to appropriate team members and assist in resolving issues.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Knowledge and experience of data preparation/quality procedures and requirements (collection, discovery and profiling, cleansing, structuring, transformation and enrichment, validation and publishing).
Knowledge and experience managing data using database platforms (SQL or NoSQL (is a plus)).
Knowledge of enterprise data management and any of the following related technologies such as ETL tools, MDM, Data lake/warehouse, Informatica, SAS, MS Azure, (good to have: Python, Google Analytics, SAS CI 360).
Knowledge and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Has project management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Education and Experience
Must be a Bachelor's degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information System, or related field.
At least three years of relevant experience in the data management.
