ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Data Modeler to be part of our team.
He/She is accountable for developing and maintaining legacy third normal form data warehouse data models as well as developing star schema and other relevant models for Power BI. This position will become a subject matter expert in company's data and develop relevant data models as well as mastering and merging methodologies as required.
He/She will work cross functionally to document and understand business requirements and operational goals associated with the data and work to ensure the data is modeled appropriately.
He/She will have expert SQL and modeling skills and will develop ad hoc queries for analysis and troubleshoot poor performing queries.
He/She will ensure the database is optimized and a data dictionary is maintained and current.
He/She will be skilled at ETL and be able to recommend mappings and methodologies. This position will have a working knowledge of SSRS and be able to maintain and modify legacy SSRS reports.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures all data warehouse data is modeled in an appropriate schema to achieve business goals.
Maintains accurate documentation and a data dictionary associated with all data in the data warehouse.
Works cross functionality to identify and incorporate operational changes that have downstream data impacts.
Works to promote data governance within the organization.
Works to ensure data security requirements are met.
Works cross functionally to develop requirements for new data loads. Ensures data models are constructed and documented.
Develops ad hoc data queries using SQL and tests for accuracy.
Maintain legacy SSRS reports.
Provide expertise in usage of Power BI.
Ensures optimal performance of the SQL Server environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or another related field preferred
5+ Years SQL and Data Modeling experience in both standard normalized data structures, star schema, and other BI related patterns.
Working knowledge of DAMA DMBOK is a plus.
Experience leading data governance.
Deep understanding of data Mastering.
Experience with Master Data Management.
Experience with Metadata Management.
Hands on experience administering SQL Server.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Willing to work at Tower 1, Rockwell Business Center, Ortigas
