For an IT client in Cebu City, we are looking for a DATA ENGINEER.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the Data Engineering aspects of design and development of the product and platform development, including specifying data pipelines for multiple sources, formats, and frequencies (e.g. streaming, batched, API, unstructured, etc). 
Work closely with product owners, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, front end engineers and UI/UX consultants to create coherent, robust and sustainable outputs.
Work with client and internal stakeholders to understand their business problem, technology, digital maturity, data sources, access protocols and security requirements to ensure the highest levels of data security.
Contribute to project plans, designs and prototype solutions to demonstrate early benefit and value.
Contribute to discussions and discovery workshops to understand the As-Is state and any existing digital change activity already underway.
Work in an Agile manner, collaborating closely with clients and colleagues to iteratively refine and deliver the solution within the Discovery - Alpha - Beta - Live delivery model aligned to GDS standards. 
Qualifications:
Graduate of BS Computer Science, Engineering or a related analytical or technical field.
Cloud technology qualifications (AWS)
An understanding of the Defence supply chain and/or Defence Digital infrastructure and constraints
Demonstrable expertise in data engineering, including creating robust data pipelines for streamed, batched and on-demand data sources using Kafka, Delta Lake, PostgreSQL
Strong data modelling and analysis skills.
Experience of deploying to AWS cloud and on-premises infrastructure
Experience of using containerization technology Kubernetes and Docker
