About the role:
This is a newly created Data Engineering position based in our office in Ortigas. We are currently working in a hybrid set up with a mix of WFH and in the office.
Responsibilities:
Designing, development of: Data processing pipelines, Data warehouse/ datamarts/ SQL queries
Assisting with the creation of new data migrations projects
Scripting for orchestration, operations, and data management
Supporting end users of data assets (finding & understanding data, tuning queries, resolving data quality issues)
Providing low level performance analysis and optimization of databases, ETL/ELT processes, physical schemas, as well as underlying system and resource utilization
Analysing data and source systems
To be successful you need to have the following skills and experience:
Experience with manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets
Experience with data goverannce, data security, database management
Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured and structured datasets
Worked with big data tools and batch processing technologies and optimising them
Experience with source control and CI/CD
Proficient with SQL, SSIS, ETL
Data mapping and conversion into ETL
Proven experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azure Data Factory, etc.
Strong commercial acumen
Strong influencing skills
Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines
Excellent negotiation skill
Outstanding communication skills
