We are seeking a data engineer to join our Research & Development team.
You will be an integral part in all stages of the research process including:
Gathering and preparing data for predictive modeling and other advanced analysis
Help the business through automation and operational efficiency of data processes
Refine, automate and document data collection processes in a fast-paced, complex and ever-changing environment
Develop technical solutions for data flow monitoring processes
Responsibilities
Maintenance, improvement, cleaning and manipulation of data in the business operational and analytics databases.
Analyze complex data elements and systems, data flow, dependencies, and relationships and contribute to conceptual physical and logical data models
Work with software engineers, data analytics team in order to understand and aid in the database design, data flow requirements, implementation, performance and data analyses, and troubleshoot any existent issues.
Work in development and deployment of innovative big data platforms for advanced analytics and data processing.
Perform thorough testing and validation in order to support the accuracy of data transformations and data verification of day to day transactions and data used in machine learning models.
Monitor performance and implement disaster recovery, backup, automated testing, schema migration, and continuous deployment.

High interest in understanding the challenges in the real estate industry, particularly the rental business is a plus
Requirements
2+ years experience performing quantitative analysis, preferably for an internet or technology company
Expertise in SQL - extensive experience querying large, complex data sets. Knowledge of manipulating data using R, Python, SAS etc is a plus.
B.S. or B.A. in Math, Statistics, CS, Engineering, or other technical field required; advanced degrees a plus
