About the role
The Data Engineer will focus on the automation of manual process in operations.​ You will be required to work closely with process engineers, IT and Data Science team to understand the process and design architecting solutions to meet broader needs.
What you will do
Develop comprehensive knowledge of Nexperia applications , data models, machines , manufacturing process parameters etc.
Work closely with process engineers and data scientists to design architecting solutions that will enable them to do their jobs
Assemble data from different structured and unstructured data sources coming from Machines, Sensors, MES, SAP & other factory applications etc. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
Identify, design and implement optimized data pipelines which are sustainable and robust infrastructure for future scalability
Automate manual process in handling data and build infrastructure required for optimal data extraction and transformation
Handle unstructured and streaming data coming from PLC of machine, IOT sensors etc. and transform them into a structured data for data use cases
Understand the data, maintain documentation and assist with data related queries
Help work on building connectivity solutions to enable extraction of data from machines with varying OS, HW and other complexities
Develop dashboards in Tibco Spotfire tool.
Work on performance improvement of queries , help engineers with understanding of data and solutions , help in solution proliferation with user community
What you will need
Demonstrated ability in handling big data , delivery of streaming , real time systems in the role of data engineer, data warehouse expert or data visualization expert.
Thorough understanding of key factory metrics - OEE, Yield, Cycle time etc.
Data Wrangling capabilities, handling and processing data to make necessary data transformations to meet project requirements
Advanced SQL knowledge, capable to write optimized queries for faster data work flows
Experience of working with big data tools: Hadoop, spark, kafka , Snappydata (Tibco ComputeDB) etc.
Experience of working with live streaming data
Must be extremely well versed with handling large volume data and work using different tools to drive the required solution
Must know programming languages: SQL, Java, Scala, Python etc.
Familiar with Tibco Spotfire data visualization tool or MS PowerBI or any of the other leading BI tools.
Capable to work with unstructured raw data, managing the data and structuring it for data use cases
Strong capability of estimating timelines, planning and handling task execution in a timely manner
Understanding machine connectivity domain is a plus.
