Job Description:
Data Delivery Architect - Sr. Associate - Home Lending
Job Description
Data delivery architects lie at the heart of analytics within JPMorgan Chase. This is a cross functional position that plays an integral role in enabling analytics in Home Lending. Working in coordination with Analytic teams and Technology departments, data delivery architects execute effective organization management and data pipeline strategies to get the right data, in the right platforms, with the right analytical tools. With significant big data analytics and machine learning projects taking place across the broad Home Lending domain, data delivery architects are able to see the fruit of analysis come to life every day!
The Data & Analytics team is the engine that powers JPMorgan Chase with insights to create competitive advantages for our business and deliver value for our customers. We have unified data and analytics talent across the firm and encompass a variety of disciplines including data science, reporting, quantitative analytics, and data governance.
As a Data Delivery Architecture in the Home Lending domain, you will be heavily involved in the design of a new Data Marts and investigation across business groups to identify the authoritative data sources for key business measures. You will own business data needs through the life cycle and will interact regularly with leadership across groups within Home Lending. You are especially strong in analysis and employ a ground-up approach to problem solving. You have strong technical and interpersonal skills and you thrive in a collaborative environment.
This is a hands-on role, so we're looking for an exceptionally curious and ambitious team member who can help to extract true business value from data. A typical day might include:
· Drive agile development, migration of processes and data from Business Analysts and Analytics Teams to Technology Supported Platforms
· Engage heavily with designing and implementing solutions that are scalable and satisfy analytics performance requirements across environments
· Design and implement business customer-centric data assets for use across the firm
· Partner with stakeholders inside and outside of the department to understand their needs and actively engage in the design and development of robust data solutions
· Facilitate use case & requirements definition, design, testing, and implementation of new data assets and analytic capabilities that address specific business needs
· Support technology data modelers towards the creation of conceptual & logical models to describe the Home Lending domains
· Enable the management of data as a corporate asset: define data (metadata), identify systems of record and authoritative sources, define security requirements, create data flow diagrams, and administer firm-wide principles, standards, and controls
· Develop strategic roadmaps for the analytical data domains that describe a sequence of projects to improve management and utility of the data for the business
· Conduct research and development with emerging technologies, determine their applicability to business use cases, document & communicate their recommended use in the firm.
You are a strong candidate if you:
· Have a love to solve problems, curiosity to meet new business partners and explore the unknown, and an excitement when you learn something new
· Have a solid understanding of data structures, data manipulation, metadata, data security, and data quality management
· Write data transformation logic in languages such as Python, SQL, SAS, Spark, or Scala, including coding skills to profile, wrangle, and prepare data from diverse sources
· 3-5 years of experience in data, analytics, or related technical roles
Bonus points if you:
· Experience with delivering solutions through agile methodology and project management methodologies
· Have an understanding of big data disciplines, Agile (scrum) methodologies, and new technologies
· Have a unique combination of technical skills, storytelling, and intuition to understand what is happening to data from inception to model to business decision
Our analytic teams seek the stories in data that illuminate big investments that will best serve Home Lending. We need a curious and passionate Data Delivery Architect to connect our data scientists with the right data across the firm, via systems that make access both easy and secure, and with the tools for next generation insights.
