Manages medium to large customer facing projects, involving complex technology integrations.
Corelate project/program planning into project plan by referring to the scope.
Creation of a project schedule and plan with financial, resource and material requirements.
Lead the risk assessment, maintain and make sure they are executed.
Oversees project staff including project engineers, vendors, partners and subcontractors (including managing contracts for subcontractors).
Manages the project from start to completion including the resolution of project issues.
Accountable for the Project Budget
Participates in the preparation of proposals and agreements.
Related Business/ Technical Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:
Project Management experience in the deployment of private cloud data center technologies.
Project management experience in service provider/telco operator.
Has experience in working with both onsite and virtual team, with ranges of skillsets and seniority level
Has strong ownership/commitment on a project
Has leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams.
Has a working knowledge of the sales process including risk assessment and scoping
Has advanced negotiation and presentation skills
Qualifications:
Has completed formal Project Management training programs (ideally PMP, PRINCE 2, ESi or equivalent).
Typically requires BS/BA degree or equivalent plus 4-5 years related experience in networking / telecommunications industry
OR min 4-5 years managing Data Center Construction and Implementation Project and program management role.
Preferred:
- Prior experience with deployment of Cisco UCS in Data Center environments
- Data Center build/Construction projects
- Telco Network Roll Out project management
