Our client, Singapore based Hyperscale facility service provider who believes strongly in taking responsibility and ownership for the DC facilities and systems they operate and maintain. They are looking to build the largest hyperscale facility in Philippines and it will be fully powered by renewable energy in the form of wind and geothermal power.
They are looking to hire an experience a Project director, Construction who will be responsible for the successfully delivery the construction of the Hyperscale data centers and keeps senior management team informed as to how a particular plan is progressing. The role requires the domain expertise of project management, financial management and providing leadership and direction to construction project team. This role will report directly to the CTO of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the successful delivery of the data center built assets.
Single point of responsibility for Time, Cost & Quality metrics during construction.
Responsibility for securing the leadership decisions during project delivery.
Assure appropriate and accurate financial management and control for the project.
Responsible for compliance with all the organization's protocols, policies and procedures during construction delivery.
Responsible for ensuring that appropriate Health and Safety compliance matters are in place at all times
Assist in developing workplace safety procedures.
Promote workplace safety standards and procedures.
Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents.
Participate in workplace safety inspections.
Assist the health and safety team in achieving high standards of workplace safety.
Assist the health and safety team in carrying out safety audits.
Continuously promote and influence a positive safety culture.
Review safety procedures and standards.
Pro-actively participate in senior management safety tours.
Provide strategic leadership of all project health, safety and environment initiatives.
Provides line management of the company's project representatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Demonstrate professional skill and knowledge in project management and keep current with developments and trends.
Experience with construction and data centre projects and the coordination of all MEP services.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Expert in monitoring and collection of data to assess accuracy and integrity.
Analysis of data to ensure compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations and systems of internal controls.
Interpret and evaluate results of analysis to prepare documentation and create relevant project reports and/or presentations.
Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and good record keeping
Hands on detail oriented tasks.
Independent: able to work with a minimum supervision.
Ability to be a team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
Skills and proficiencies:
Experience with construction and data centre projects and the coordination of all MEP services.
Professionally qualified on the related discipline (e.g. RICS).
Conversant to a competent level with Microsoft Windows, MS-Office (especially MS Project Management).
Proficient in English and other languages is a plus.
Proactive and initiative.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience to supervise team and lead team.
Experience with Oracle Aconex.
