DATA CENTER OPERATIONS for CESO
TOP 3-5 DELIVERABLES
Ensure the availability and performance of data center operations
Manage the data center team. This includes hiring and training staff, delegating tasks, and providing performance feedback.
Plan for and implement changes to the data center. This includes new technologies, new processes, and new security measures.
Communicate with stakeholders. This includes keeping management informed of the status of the data center, and working with users to resolve any issues.
KPIs
Deliver operational excellence thru process improvements and compliance (Improve the asset and spares inventory process to cover all CI inside the data center.
Ensure Operational Stability | MTTR and MTBF (Efficient MTTR and sustained MTBF)
Ensure Operational Stability | Incident Reduction (Reduction of Service Impacting Incidents, Availability Management, Capacity Management)
Incidents caused by change
COMPETENCIES
Good working knowledge on various IT equipment (server, network, storage, load balancers, firewalls, etc)
Able to operate DCIM tool
Good working knowledge on DC support facilities (UPS, In Row, PAHUs, PACUs, AHUs, Generators, Fire suppression system)
Good working knowledge on Data Center Standards (Raised floor, cold/hot aisle containment, structured cabling, equipment rack and stack, documentation)
HIRING REQUIREMENTS
At least 2-3 years of experience in a data center operations roleCertifications in data center operations or a related field
Good understanding of data center infrastructure and operations, as well as strong work ethic and be able to work independently and as a part of a team
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
