Our client is a fast-growing Australian ecommerce business.
As their business grows they are seeking to further improve their data analytics, gain further insights and a better understanding of their client's behaviours and activities, so they can provide a better service and improved offering.
This role will report to the chief data analyst in Sydney.
Requirements
You should be able to:
Demonstrate solid technical skills - Advanced Excel, macros, SQL, VBA, with extra points for:
Python and / or R programming languages - used in integrating with marketing platforms and devise / implement automation (i.e. reporting, website scraping)
Have strong problem solving ability - be presented with a problem and be able to craft a suitable solution based on evidence, numerical reasoning and logic
Strong communication ability in understanding the need of the client manager, sometimes without the client manager knowing exactly what they want
In line with the above traits, be able to question existing methods / processes / workflows
Ability to analyse traffic patterns, and identify which of the available traffic channels to optimise
Monitor metrics, analyse data across all data sets, in all departments
Partnering will all the internal stakeholders in Australia and the Philippines
Partner with internal teams to identify process and system improvements
Your previous experience should include:
Bachelors degree in either business, maths, science or statistics
3 years minimum experience in data analysis
Building a portfolio of reports, analytics and dashboards
Strong verbal and written English skills and experience, allowing you to communicate easily with all stakeholders
You should be able to demonstrate that you are:
a self-starter, and can take initiative without being directed by others.
able to focus on the details
can grow into the role, as the business evolves and develops into a large business
