You like working in a silo and do not like talking to people - this role demands that you collaborate closely with teammates and also requires that you are able to present proposals and results in an effective manner
You do not care to understand the business - the ability to understand the business context is key to this role as you will not only need to navigate the data but also know how to prepare the data in such a way that can be used by the business for analysis
You expect a rigid set of instructions in order to perform your role - as a data analyst, the nature of the role is exploratory and you will need to be open to iterating through multiple solutions
You expect readily available data - data practitioners know the reality of how much work needs to be put in to get data to a readily available state and you need to be ready to take on that challenge
We'd love to have you if...
You have proven experience conducting descriptive analytics and have a track record of solving business problems through the use of data
You are comfortable analyzing data using tools such as Excel and DAX as well as data visualization tools such as Power BI
You are familiar with multiple analytical frameworks and techniques (e.g. What-if Analysis, Cause & Effect Analysis) and know the different visualization options needed to conduct and present the analyses
You are willing and able to immerse yourself in different industries and domains and learn the business language quickly; experience in the Banking, Retail and/or Pharma industries is a plus
You have experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment, and willing to continue to do so
You are an adept data storyteller, and can put together and deliver a strong presentation to communicate insights and drive action
You are willing to spend some time teaching and upskilling your teammates and others in the organization in the areas of data analysis, machine learning, data visualization, and the like
