We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our growing team of analytics experts. The candidate will serve as a bridge between business users and data professionals (data engineers, data scientists, and data visualization developers) to provide retails knowledge about the data sets, business processes, and methods by which the companyanalyzes information to improve quality and the effectivity of our analytics solutions. The hire will collect, organize and interpret statistical information to make it useful for a range of businesses and organizations
Work with Business stakeholders in identifying business requirements for analytics projects, products, and programs of work that maximize business impact / benefits within a realistic setting
Document business requirements and deliveries in a continuous manor
Visualize process changes in collaboration with business stakeholders and the IT user adoption team, to establish mutual understanding and accountability
Apply business analysis understanding and common sense into day to day deliveries
Define new data collection and analysis processes
Identify traffic trends, pathing issues and opportunities for improving site conversion rates
Perform in-depth analysis of information from multiple data sources (web analytics data as well as external data) and provide significant insights into factors impacting online results
Create dashboards for senior management and various business units, synthesizing data from various sources
Ensure data accuracy by investigating data anomalies to determine if there are any issues, work with IT and Development teams to address issues, log issues to prevent the issue from reoccurring
Maintain an awareness of competitive information and key industry trends to provide context for branded website performance
Requirements
Demonstrable experience in the retail industry
Experience of working with Customer Master Data/ Data Management
Practical experience of documenting business processes using specified process methodologies
Knowledge and practical experience of mapping retail business processes
Knowledge of specified structured analysis techniques
Experience of documenting requirements in a structured template
Ability to rapidly and thoroughly understand the environment in which you will operate (people, applications, technology, process)
Excellent communication skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to describe findings or the way techniques work to audiences, both technical and non-technical
Self-driven and motivated with desire to work in a results-driven environment with varied responsibilities
Very comfortable managing, manipulating and analyzing large data sets
Flexible, adaptable with the demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to apply best practice and industry knowledge to improve products or processes
Leadership and management skills
An interest in, and understanding of, project management techniques and computing systems
Well-versed with digital media concepts/technicalities i.e. website, tagging, user, traffic, conversion funnel, digital campaign data, A/B testing, building segmentations, webpage and mobile app event tracking
Has proven experience in Google Analytics, Google Analytics 360, Google Tag Manager, and Data Studio
Able to provide analysis and strategic actionable recommendations to increase web traffic, basket size, and sale and improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
Able to identify trends and support e-commerce team and decision makers with data to refine existing processes and tools and develop the next generation of activities
