Maintain databases (for internal use) of relevant research information from all the interviews, news, stories, data, statistics, etc. that journalists gather on a daily basis
Identify relevant data for mining and clean-up that will be included in the database / reports
Implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases / data systems
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets with the guidance of the News Data Analytics Heads
Suggest process improvement opportunities especially on tools, software and applications that could be used in treating the data
Prepare charts and basic data visualizations for use in analysis and in news reports and other news content
Support news teams in the delivery of news reports using augmented reality and interactive data visualization technologies
Work closely with journalists and production personnel (e.g. writers, producers, graphic artists) to ensure data is presented accurately in news reports and other content
Graduate of Statistics / Economics / Engineering / Math / any related field
High level of mathematical ability
Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
Prior experience in the use of data processing and data visualization tools is an advantage
Data mining skills

Good interpersonal skills and a team player
Good communication skills (written and oral) in English and Filipino
