Roles and responsibilities:
. Provide consultative business analysis expertise to plan and assist in the implementation of a data and analytics program within the organization
. Consult with stakeholders regarding the accuracy of data and the efficiency of the data acquisition/extraction process by having a sound knowledge of data sources
. Undertake data extraction using multiple databases for the purpose of dynamically reporting results to end users
. Develop data aggregation workflows, visualizations and insights using Alteryx and Tableau
. Create ad-hoc executive reports and scorecards using Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Alteryx) and data extrapolated from multiple source systems
. Work with Senior Management to implement a robust reporting and data governance framework
. Participate in collaborative business analysis activities with a variety of stakeholders to gather required analytics, reporting and dashboard requirements
. Educate the team about data analysis and governance issues to improve understanding
Education and Experience
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar analytical field (Major in Accounting and/or Finance will be highly regarded)
. Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in data analysis & BI technologies (including some practical experience using Alteryx)
. Three or more years of experience in developing reports in Tableau
. Experience working with relational databases including SQL querying language
. Have thorough understanding of Tableau architecture, design, development and end user experience.
. Understanding of Salesforce database structures is beneficial
Technical Skills
. Relational database knowledge (relational model(s), star schema, keys, common terminology)
. Advanced-level skills with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, visual basic commands)
. Knowledge of SQL querying language
. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute specific tasks associated with data acquisition/profiling
. Ability to construct process flow charts and diagrams relating to data ETL processes
. Working knowledge of self-service analytic/ETL tools and data visualization tools, specifically Alteryx Designer and Tableau
. Ability to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in data by incorporating thorough documentation processes
