The Cyber Security Vulnerability Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely identification of information security risks through technical assessments of security technologies. Your main objective is to protect TPG Telecom assets and infrastructure from cyber-attacks, through effective handling of incidents, issues, vulnerabilities, and escalations.
The successful candidate will be working on industry-leading Cyber Security tools, techniques and best practice to navigate the continuously evolving threat landscape.
To be considered for this role you must have;
In-depth knowledge of information security concepts and technologies
At least 2 years experience with vulnerability management tools (Tenable, Qualys, Nessus Pro, etc.)
Information Security related experience, in areas such as:
Security Operations,
Incident Analysis and Incident Handling,
Vulnerability Management
System Patching
Log Analysis
Intrusion Detection
Firewall Administration
Extensive understanding of cyber security hygiene benchmarks and industry frameworks applicable to TPG Telecom's complex hybrid (on-premise, private and public cloud) environment
In depth technical skills, includes TCP/IP knowledge, networking and security product experience
In depth knowledge of information security and risk management standards
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information and ideas clearly and concisely in a business context
Skills that may give you an edge:
Good understanding of Telco business
Certifications for OSCP, and SANS GCIH, GREM, GSEC, GPEN or similar.
Strong desire to build and tinker with tools to solve problems
Good interpersonal and consultative skills
