CUSTOMS OPERATIONS SPECIALIST Business Division: DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) Reports to: Customs Support Specialist (Declarant) Team Lead As a Customs Support Specialist at DHL, you will ensurethat the lodging, classifying and compili CUSTOMS OPERATIONS SPECIALIST Business Division: DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) Reports to: Customs Support Specialist (Declarant) Team Lead As a Customs Support Specialist at DHL, you will ensurethat the lodging, classifying and compiling of entries (through the use of available system) is completed in a timely and accurate manner for incoming shipments, and apply the principle of Risk Management in ensuring compliance in International Trade rules, including the enforcement of Philippine regulations and legislations. IN THIS JOB, YOU WILL: Portray a professional, courteous and helpful attitude in all dealings with internal and external customers Provide DHL finance department with guidelines in relation to the payment and collection of duties and taxes Assist other departments with technical advice or presentations as required Liaise with Customs to resolve disputes / claims / queries Examine the documents covering the declarations and the documents accompanying it. Ensure that entries are cleared in accordance with Customs compliance agreements Prioritise the clearance flow in order to achieve fastest transit time possible Ensure that correct lodgement declarations are made on behalf of customers, whilst satisfying the legislation set by customs, VAT laws and other regulatory agencies. Prepare Import Entry and ensures correctness of details Prepare Cash Advance or Request for check payable to Bureau of Customs as duties and Taxes-per shipment Coordinate with Account owner/consignee status of shipments Ensure that duties and taxes advanced byDGF are properly and timely billed to the consignee. Inform superior on significant changes or request of clients that will affect operation. Monitor latest tariff rulings & classifications issued by Tariff Commission and Bureau ofCustoms, as well as BOC's latest CMO issuance and circular.
