Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities – CUSTOMS DECLARANT
Receive arrival notice from Carrier/ Shipping Line then confirm owner of cargo (for Internal customers)
Inquire Arrival (Free time) and Destination Local Charges
Compute Duties and Taxes for approval of consignee
Lodge document thru Inter-commerce
Print Entry documents from Inter-commerce then turn over Entry and Shipping Documents to Processor for processing at BOC and processing at Shipping Line\
Create Delivery Order and Authorization letter to pick up docs from carrier
Detailed duties & responsibilities Customer Service
Responsible in ensuring that customer is updated on the development of shipments
Responsible in informing customer of all the documentary requirements needed to complete shipment transaction
Liaise with Overseas and local service providers for proper coordination of special instructions set by Customer
Ensures that billing is dispatched on time and that there are no issues on the billing invoice
Detailed duties & responsibilities Delivery
Procure Truck ensure that net buy rates are lower than that of Selling rate
Book Truck
Inform customer of Delivery
Monitor Delivery
Other Job functions might be assigned from time to time
Key Task is to classify goods according to tariff coding system. Examine product information to ensure compliance with regulations. Prepare and process import export documentation according to customs regulations, laws & procedures. Update knowledge of legal and regulatory environments, Stay abreast of changes in Import or Export Laws or regulations by reading current literature and attending events, seminars and conferences.Request and or comply necessary import documentation such as customs invoices, certificates of origins and cargo control documents, Calculate duties & taxes.Advise customers on Import Export restrictions, tariff systems, quotas or other custom related matters. Prepares & Submits Manifest
Qualifications
Graduate of Customs Administration. Licensed customs broker is an advantage
With a minimum 6 months experience in Manifesting, and as Customs Declarant in Freight Forwarding Industry
