CUSTOMER QUALITY ENGINEER
 
Job Summary:
 
The Customer Quality Engineer holds a pivotal position in overseeing Customer First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) while also managing various other responsibilities. They meticulously review and submit FAIRs, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and requirements. Additionally, they coordinate investigations and corrective actions for customer complaints, drive improvement initiatives, and analyze quality indicators to foster continuous improvement. Their role extends to supporting training, facilitating inspections, overseeing ECO/ECR implementation, and preparing for customer audits. Through their comprehensive approach to FAIR management and dedication to quality across all tasks, they contribute significantly to customer satisfaction and organizational excellence.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Complaint Handling: Deal with customer complaint, integrate customer, field service, manufacturing, test, supplier, brother factory etc. information to drive multi-Dep to do investigation and complete root cause analysis and corrective actions; Submit reports to customers until they are satisfied.
Communicate well with customer, review and analysis customer scorecard, drive and track improvement, meeting with customer if necessary
"Quality Indicators Analysis: Collect external and internal quality data, QPPM,DPU, Internal FQC FPY, Customer FAIR FPY, and do trend analysis; Organize meeting with relative departments, focus on issues and weakness then drive team to do continuous improvement"
Review, evaluate and follow customer or internal ESW/ECO/ECR and monitor the implement status
Review Customer First Article Inspection Report and submit on customer website
Track and monitor quality trend until customer approval when introducing new projects,
"Prepare for customer audit and follow up, perform other work.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Familiarity with semiconductor capital equipment.
Knowledge of electronic Work Instruction software is a plus (i.e. Sequence).
ERP System Software
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite, emphasis in Excel.
Prior experience leading small teams to achieve project success.
Good interpersonal skills; ability to work alone or in a team environment.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Manufacturing or related field preferred with 2 years of experience in related manufacturing/ production position;
Experience Requirement:
 
Work Experience:
2+ years related experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry.
Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment
