As part of this, we are rolling out Continuous Improvement training to all our shore-based and seagoing colleagues.What you will be doingAs our Crewing Manager, you are responsible for the overall crewing/assignment of Filipino Junior Officers and Ratings onboard SNPI managed vessels, as well as planning, monitoring and administering performance management and career development of these officers and ratings as appropriate. You are also acting as the Deputizing Manning Manager.Key Responsibilities
Plans/deploys Filipino Junior Deck, Engine Officers and ratings to all SNPI managed vessels as appropriate in coordination with SPS.
Designs & carries out effective and economical rotation and deployment strategies for Filipino Junior Deck, Engine Officers and ratings assigned to vessels.
Monitors & facilitates performance management and career development of Filipino Junior Officers and ratings.
Attends to crew changes conducted in Philippine Ports
Attends to/coordinates requests/concerns of/for Filipino Junior Deck, Engine Officers and ratings
Attends to promotion and welfare of Filipino Seafarers.
Works hand in hand with Crewing Officers for planning and execution of proper rotation for all Filipino Seafarers.
Ensure that the SNPI pool is managed proactively in line with the crew projection and promotions are executed in a timely manner.
Performs all other related duties that may be assigned from time to time
Works hand in hand with Sr. Crewing Officers and Crewing Officers for planning and execution of proper rotation for all Filipino Seafarers.
Qualifications
Five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Crew Management Experience
With Maritime Background and/or HR (Human Resources) orientated preferred.
Key Technical Skills:
Proven track record in managing crew rotation/ schedules, logistics, and compliance with international standards.
Familiarity with international maritime conventions and local regulations concerning crew operations.
Ability to use crewing software, databases, and common office applications efficiently.
Attention to details.
Key Soft Skills:
Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Ability to inspire and manage a team effectively, fostering a positive work environment.
Capability to anticipate challenges and implement strategic solutions promptly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective liaison with crew members and internal teams.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in organizing or overseeing career development programs for crew members is advantageous.
Competence in negotiating contracts or resolving crew disputes can be beneficial.
Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments for improved relations with international crew members.
