As a Crew Payroll Manager, the job holder is responsible for handling all shipboard accounting procedures related to payroll, cash payments, revenue reporting, expenditure reporting, and budgets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS:
1. Manage global payroll operations and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met
2. Successfully adopts and supports implementation of new payroll process, systems and tools
3. Drive continuous improvement in the accuracy and timeliness of payments
4. Drive team productivity
5. Coach and develop team and maintain engagement and retention
6. Attend to critical issues regarding payroll.
KEY SUCCESS MEASURES:
1. Timeliness and accuracy of crew payroll
2. Timeliness and accuracy of relevant reports
ESSENTIAL:
• Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in payroll, HR or similar roles in shipping or maritime industry.
• Proven experience in leading and developing a global marine payroll team
• Experience on driving improvement initiatives in payroll processes
• Ability to provide leadership skills, mentoring and coaching for team development
• Strong stakeholder management
• Proven ability to manage teams, prioritise, meet deadlines and make best use of limited resources.
