We are looking for an exceptional Credit Underwriter to join the Operations team, that will support the Australia's leading point of sale finance platform for solar, batteries & home improvements. Recognized as of one of Australia's leading fintech companies by the Australian Financial Review, Fintech Business Awards and KPMG & H2 Ventures in their Fintech 100 list. The role will be responsible for evaluating financial information and risks as well as making decisions on loan grants of unsecured consumer credit applications (regulated & unregulated). The role will also manage regular loan reviews and provide assistance with vendor accreditations.
Responsibilities:
Assessment of credit applications with delegated underwriting authority in accordance with Company policies and with the commercial risk environment
Managing all aspects of the credit underwriting process within delegated lending authority - including verifying application data, analyzing credit reports, property searches and researching businesses
Assess and review the credit and fraud risk of vendors applying for accreditation
Ensure applications are compliant
Manage daily workflow for credit analysis to ensure all SLA's are adhered to
Qualifications:
Must have 2 years of related experience
A passion for customer service alongside strong judgement, logical thinking to obtain the best outcome for the customer and the business
Professional customer service experience with both internal and external customers
Ability to manage competing business pressures and customer needs
Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Exposure to stages of the credit approval process including customer engagement
