You will act as a finance business partner to Local Business Manager in Electrification business, closely working to run the business and optimize financial performance. Support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data in order to evaluate various business alternatives and recommend the most appropriate business solutions. The position is based in Paranaque City.
Reporting to Regional Lead Division Controller and being the most senior financial officer in area of responsibility, the role will sit as a member of the relevant geographic leadership team (Region/Country/ Company). Provides oversight to ensure local compliance with all applicable fiduciary requirements.
Your responsibilities
Contributing to the definition of the strategy for the business unit. Serving as the key partner for the relevant business leader in determining strategy for area of responsibility, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and adjusting in implementation as needed. Maintaining constant contact with relevant other managers and Controllers regarding financial, market and customer situation and outlook.
Translating strategy into business plans and establishing measurable targets. Overseeing the business planning and forecasting process for the area of responsibility and serving as the interface to HQ/Country CFO/Global/Local Division Manager. Evaluating financial implications of various strategic decisions, builds scenarios and recommends actions.
Monitoring progress achieved and providing insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. Identifying issues and advising management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve. Driving appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency. Managing and closely monitoring the cash flow and takes action to improve Net Working Capital.
Identifying and communicating commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions. Executing risk review procedures and processes in line with global policies and standards to minimize commercial and financial risks and exposure.
Overseeing risk management to ensure that the local ABB position is consistent across the businesses (where applicable) by supporting legal document reviews (e.g. customer contracts, suppliers & partnership agreement, credit assessment).
Establishing and overseeing processes and tools necessary to obtain transparent and reliable financial data and business information. Ensuring high quality of financial data and business information in line with defined standards and financial closing schedules.
Being responsible for compliance with applicable local fiduciary requirements and oversees adherence to local statutory GAAP, reporting, legal and tax requirements to timely generate accurate financial statements.
Ensuring transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Overseeing implementation of internal controls regarding financial and non-financial operations. Ensuring compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines and supporting internal and external audits. Signs off Assurance letter for the area of responsibility.
Maintaining relations with internal and external auditors and communicates their local findings and recommendations to appropriate functions for remediation.
Enforcing group instructions and country specific finance directives to ensure compliance and transparency in financial reporting, disclosures and operating system and ensuring timely and efficient communication with relevant Local/Country/Division/Region Controllers, Accounting Center, and other internal customers to identify and discuss issues for improvement of operations, work quality and efficiency for area of responsibility.
Representing ABB locally, or organizes representation by another local Finance leader/expert (focusing on external representation, including local authorities, multi-lateral organization, banks) and actively manages partnerships and external stakeholders within the sphere of Finance, whenever of significant importance for several local businesses and not owned by GBS or Corporate.
Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies.

Your background
Minimum Degree in BA/BS Accounting/Finance
In-depth knowledge of Controlling, finance and accounting in a matrix style organization.
Minimum 8 years of experience in similar role in similar matrix style organization.
Demonstrated business acumen and influencing skills. Strong Business Partnering & communication skills. Strong risk management skills at country level, keen eye for spotting improvement potentials in operations and motivator to make people work together
Must be a locally certified CPA.
