A. Job Summary:
The Cost Estimator is responsible in ensuring that cost estimate needed for project bidding and quotations are timely and correctly prepared. The cost estimator works with Purchasing, sample maker, creative, production and sales in order to improve and provide the most cost efficient price and higher acceptable margin. The cost estimator will release raw materials for fabrication to ensure that correct raw materials will be issued and purchased.
B. Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Timely and accurate preparation of cost estimate based on given drawing and specification from client.
2. Propose alternative material or application in coordination with sample maker, creative department, production and sales in order to provide project price.
3. Ensure that all prepared cost estimate are saved on file and adjustment are updated.
4. Ensure that price used on the cost estimate are updated and constantly checked and coordinated with purchasing.
5. Works with purchasing, sample maker, creative department, production and sales to ensure that cost estimate prepared is cost efficient and has the highest acceptable margin.
6. Souring of needed and alternative raw materials and service.
7. Comply with set ISO standards on required documentation and reports
8. Attends trade shows and convention for market and technical knowledge.
9. Perform other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
C. Qualification
Education Required : Graduate of any business related course preferably Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engr. or AS Accountancy
Experience Required : At least 3 years Experience in preparing cost estimate or planning from same industry, construction or related industry
License/Certificate Required : N/A
Other Skills Required : Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Material and technical knowledge from same industry
