Purpose of the Position:
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, and indirectly to the Delta Corporate Cost Control Assistant Manager, the Cost Control Engineer is accountable and responsible for monitoring and controlling expenditure of the Quarry Project.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed daily update report and monthly accomplishment report of the Quarry Project that will provide sufficient information to the Delta Corporate on the productivity of the project.
Compare operations productivity against the target set and agreed by Delta Project management team and Delta Corporate Engineering and provide recommendations on ways to improve the projects overall output.
Check and maintain database for production, drilling and blasting activity of the Quarry Project.
In-charge of the short-term mine plans whenever required by the contract.
Ensure that all executed works are properly compensated as stipulated in the contract.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Graduate of Mining or Civil Engineering Course, preferably licensed professional
Computer literate
High level of interpersonal skills and integrity;
Creative, forward thinker.
Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets
Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
A reliable professional who follows organization and department procedures, completes tasks in a timely manner.
