Description
MVP Asia Pacific Inc. is now looking for a Cost Associate for one of our clients.
Key player supporting the Costing team to achieve financial and accounting objectives. Strive for continuous improvement. Implement changes, create reports, enter data, and learn by partnering with operations, obtaining information, and then analyzing data with the team to provide guidance in the establishment of sound financial processes, procedures, and controls, to improve data integrity and the accuracy of financial reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Product Costing
o Participate in annual cost updates: including material, labor, overhead, freight and duty
o Roll and update costs
o Create product profitability analysis
o Provide cost impacts for Part Change Notices
o Prepare cost reports for new, proposed, and existing products
o Support Operations in Continuous Improvement Projects
• Culminate and report on internal transactions
o Process and Procedures
o Support documentation of procedures for operations insuring data accuracy
o Partner with operations team to improve policies and procedures
• Financial Analysis
o Provide insight on cost reduction through identification of cost drivers and substitutions
o Provide costing support, training, and guidance to R&D, SBUs, and Product Data
o Management group as required
o Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting as required
To be successful, you should be:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Self-Motivated
• Ability to efficiently multi-task
• Experience in manufacturing company required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Experience in Excel preferred
• Must be willing to work on a night shift schedule.
